Founded in New York City in 1997, Dress for Success is a community-led organization and the leading global non-profit employment resource for women. Dress for Success empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing support networks, professional attire, and development tools to help them thrive in work and in life. Dress for Success has helped more than 1.3 million women across 144 affiliates in 24 countries achieve economic independence and self-defined success.

Over its 26 years, Dress for Success has helped unemployed and underemployed women get back on their feet, regain confidence, and support their families and communities.

Dress for Success serves a diverse population of women to support women from all backgrounds. 60% percent of Dress for Success clients identify as people of color, 56% are mothers, 40% are single mothers – and nearly 50% live below the poverty line.
